Obituary of Mr. Rodger Levell Broadway

Mr. Rodger "Ronnie" Broadway, age 74 of Portland, TN passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at his home in Portland, TN. Mr. Broadway was born March 26, 1944 in Nashville, TN the son of the late John Henry and Alice Broadway. Mr. Broadway is survived by his wife, Brenda C. Broadway. Two sons, Terry Broadway (April) and Rodger Broadway. A brother, Carlos E. Broadway (Frances). Three grandchildren; Paige, TJ and Lucas Broadway. Along with his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard F. Broadway (Jane) and Dennis C. Broadway (Linda). A sister, Gertrude Kelley (Clifton). He was a member of the Church of the Firstborn in Hartsville, TN. Ronnie retired from NES in 1999, was a member of the National Donkey & Mule Association and Mt. Cur Association. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. With Bro Robbie Kline officiating. Burial will follow at Old Brush Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time Sunday at Gilbert Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Stevie Broadway, Jerry Flick, Lewis Flick, Jay Gregory, Nathan Gregory and Kelvin Gregory.
