Obituary of Mrs. Margaret White Baird Groves

Mrs. Margaret White Baird Groves, age 89 of Portland, TN passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Mrs. Groves was born June 11, 1929 in Robertson Co., TN the daughter of the late Hugh and Annetter White. Mrs. Groves is survived by two daughters, Helen Civils and Linda Shrum (Curtis). Five sons; Wayne Baird (Deborah), Gary Baird (Virginia), Randy Baird (Cindy), John Baird (Stephanie) and Anthony Baird (Vickie). 21 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Baird and second husband, Romey L. Groves. A daughter, Wanda Gail Bice, two sons, Ricky and Robert Baird. Three grandsons, Ronnie Dobbs, Nathaniel Baird and Anthony Baird. A granddaughter, Jessica Shrum, a great granddaughter, Hannah Dobbs and a great grandson, John Allen Baird III. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, July 30, 2018 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Baird and Bro. Allen Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Jake Link Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM Sunday and from 9:00 AM until service time Monday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
