Obituary of Mr. Tommy Groves

Mr. Tommy Groves, age 52 of Portland, TN, passed away July 13, 2018 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Tommy was born July 22, 1965 in Portland, TN the son of the late Lawrence and Christine Groves. Mr. Groves is survived by three brothers; Virgil Groves of Franklin, KY, Richard Groves and Dean Groves bot of Portland, TN. Seven sisters; Dorothy Groves of Portland, TN, Patricia Sanders go Portland, TN, Shirley Nuckols of Macon Co., TN, Frances McClanahan of Westmoreland, TN, Ramona Warner of Bethpage, TN, Reba Roberts of Portland, TN and Fosten Frye of Portland, TN. Along with his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest and two sisters, Michelle Wallace and Marita Groves. Tommy was a member of Stateline Church in Portland, TN. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Monday July 16, 2018 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Old Brush Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time Monday at Gilbert Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Darrick Groves, Chris Wallace, Travis Frye, McGavin McClanahan, Gary Sanders and Dustin Groves.
