Obituary of Mr. Ivan Peacock

Mr. Ivan Peacock, age 101 of Portland, TN., passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at White House Health and Rehab in White House, TN. Mr. Peacock was born January 6, 1917 in Shiloh, NJ. Mr. Peacock is survived by his son, Danny Peacock (Brenda) of Portland, TN. A grandson, Kyle Peacock (Jennifer) of Portland, TN. Two great grandchildren, Kaleb and Kaylee Jo Peacock both of Portland, TN. Mr. Peacock was a founding member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Lafayette, TN and an Army veteran where he served in WWII as a medic in the Pacific. He also was Chaplin for the Civil Air Patrol of Sumner County for 20 years where he retired in 2017, and volunteered at the Portland Public Library for over 25 years. Memorial services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Old Brush Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time Sunday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
