Obituary of Mrs. Ava Lynn Thompson

Mrs. Ava Lynn Thompson, age 81 of Cottontown, TN passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at her home in Cottontown, TN. Mrs. Thompson was born May 27, 1937 in San Antonio, TX the daughter of the late John and Clara Davis. Mrs. Thompson is survived her husband of 63 years, William Thompson of Cottontown, TN. Two sons, Gary Thompson (Sherri) and Scott Thompson (Jaime) both of Cottontown, TN. A daughter, Karen Steward of Cottontown, TN. A sister, Callie Holman of White House, TN. Seven grandchildren; Chelsea Rogers, Sherah Gregory, Drew Thompson, Drake Thompson, Spencer Thompson, Evin Thompson and Dillon Hepler and 9 great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by a grandson, T.C. Stubblefield and a sister, Johnnie Gibson. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, June 4, 2018 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. Burial will follow at Halltown Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time Monday at Gilbert Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be; Drew Thompson, Evin Thompson, Drake Thompson, Spencer Thompson, Dillon Hepler and James Gregory.
