Obituary of Mrs. Patricia Dianne Daugherty

Patricia "Dianne" Daugherty passed away May 16, 2018 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. Patricia was born November 6, 1955 in Nashville, TN the daughter of the late James and Virginia Groves. Patricia is survived by her 2nd husband, Roger Daugherty, a brother Danny Groves, a son Jay Watts, a daughter Stacey Tyus and 6 grandchildren; CJ, Troy, Sierra, Brittany, Courtney and Michael. 11 great grandchildren, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends....all of which she loved and touched dearly. Along with her parents, Dianne was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Penley, a brother Jimmy Smith and threes sisters Betty Hindsley, Brenda Snyder and Peggy Flynn. Caring, warm, loving, kind, compassionate, witty....these are all words Dianne's family would use to describe her. Dianne loved to love on people. She had a servant heart that led her to be a caretaker for many. Dianne was always giving so much of herself to ensure that her loved ones were taken care of. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing, love and faith. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter and joking around, will never be forgotten. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday June 9, 2018 at Hillcrest Cemetery in White House, TN. There will be no visitation.
