Obituary of Mrs. Ruth Garrison

Mrs. Ruth Garrison, age 84 of Portland, TN passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at her home in Portland, TN. Mrs. Garrison was born April 30, 1933 in Lafayette, TN the daughter of the late JH and Crittie Mae Brooks. Mrs. Garrison is survived by her daughter, Lorie Ann Garrison Elliott (David) of Lebanon, TN. Two sons, Randall Lee Garrison (Debbie) of Donnellson, TN and Michael Stephen Garrison (Dianne) of Bethpage, TN. Eight grandchildren; Natasha Lee Garrison, Jeremy Ray Durham, Taylor Ann Durham Parker, Kelly LeeAnn Garrison Morgan, Matthew Stephen Garrison, Patrick Lee Garrison, Luke Allen Elliott and Logan Alexander Elliott. Three great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Carly Garrison, a son, Darrell Wayne Garrison and a daughter, Rhonda Kay Garrison Durham. Mrs. Garrison was a member of First Baptist Church in Portland, TN. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Bro. Seth McDowell officiating. Burial will follow at Union Chapel Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday and from 9:00 AM until service time Saturday at Gilbert Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Durham, Matt Garrison, Pat Garrison, Luke Elliott, Logan Elliott and David Elliott.
