Obituary of Mr. James Howard Suddarth Jr.

Mr. James "Jimmy" "Hawk" Suddarth Jr. age 61 of Portland, TN, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Mr. Suddarth was born March 24, 1956 in Indianapolis, IN the son of the late James Howard Sr. and Ava Jean Suddarth. Mr. Suddarth is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Suddarth of Portland, TN. Two daughters, Chasity Winters (Jesse) and Carol Sue Suddarth (Aaron) both of Portland, TN. A brother, Dale Suddarth of Portland, TN. Three sisters, Monica Davis of Lafayette, TN, Sue Roberts and Ava Jean Dixon both of Portland, TN. Five grand children; Barbara Jean Suddarth, Jeffery Renfro, James H. Suddarth IV, Sabrina Suddarth and Evelyn Winters. A great granddaughter, Auburn Rose Marie Suddarth. Along with his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his son, James "JJ" Howard Suddarth III and a brother, Mark Suddarth. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Bro. Forrest Creekmore and Bro Danny Everette officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and from 9:00 AM until service time Thursday at Gilbert Funeral Home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donation be made to Gilbert Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
