Obituary of Mr. Henry E. Wix

Mr. Henry E. Wix, age 83 of Portland, TN, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2018 at his home in Portland, TN. Mr. Wix was born August 26, 1934 in Portland, TN the son of the late Odell and Maybell Wix. Mr. Wix is survived by three daughters; Henrietta Parrish, Doris Ellen Chandler (Ricky) and Christel Elkins all of Portland, TN. Two sons, Paul Edward Wix (Melba) of Portland, TN and Jonathan Duane Wix (Lisa) of Westmoreland, TN. A sister, Maxine Dobbs of Portland, TN. A brother-in-law, Glen Dorris of Lafayette, TN. A sister-in-law, Martha Wix of Portland, TN. Twelve grandchildren, 25 great grand children and a great great grandson, Grayson Henry Wix. Along with his parents, Henry was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Alton and Noah Wix. Two sisters, Luise Nuckols and Lorean Moser. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 26, 2018 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Old Fountain Head Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM Thursday and from 9:00 AM until service time Friday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
