Obituary of Velma Lee Loftis

Velma Lee Loftis, age 94 of Gallatin, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024.  Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 27^th at Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin.  Visitation will be Monday, February 26^th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, February 27^th from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Loftis was born January 14, 1930 in Macon County to the late Roosevelt Thompson and Dellia Lee Hoskins Thompson.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, James Lloyd Loftis; and siblings, J. T. Thompson, Leon Thompson, Mary Frances Thompson, Mildred Taylor, Wilma Satterfield, Buddy Thompson, Randall Thompson, Donnie Fay Anderson, and Joyce Dean Slayton.  She is survived by daughter, Wanda Jones (Mike) of Gallatin; brother, Earl Thompson of Westmoreland; sister, Edna Mae Harrison of Westmoreland; and granddaughter, Jennifer Michelle Jones of London, England.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Westmoreland.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
