Obituary of Betty J. Harmon

HARMON, Betty J., age 88 of Mt. Juliet passed away March 3, 2024. Betty was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. She owned and operated several restaurants. Betty enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening; she was also a huge Elvis fan. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Preceded in death by husband, Bill Harmon; parents, James Henry & Elsie Bradshaw Bateman; and sisters, Dorothy, Laveda, and Lucille. She is survived by daughter, Cathy (David) Garavalia; sons, Bill (Ronan) Harmon, Jr., Dan (Judy) Harmon and Mike (Cheryl) Harmon; grandchildren, Michelle Harrelson, Jim Vaughan, Miranda Jones, Scott Vaughan, Terry Shelton, Ryan Harmon, Eric Harmon, Deana Harmon, Danny Harmon, Jaime Harmon, Jennifer Harmon Hill, Chad Harmon, and Jasmine Harmon; 32 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 6^th at 11 am at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation with friends and family will be Wednesday, March 6^th from 10 am until time of service.
