Obituary of Aileen Steele Wells

Aileen Steele Wells, age 82 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday April 17, 2016. Funeral Service will be Wednesday April 20th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Dr. Larry Gilmore officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Matthew Eli Miller, Paul Jackson, John Walker, Mark Visser, Barry Wells, and Craig Wells serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Tuesday April 19th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Wednesday April 20th from 12:00 noon until time of service. Mrs. Wells was born January 1, 1934 in Stevenson, AL, to the late Orce Steele and Precious Allen Steele. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Carl Ray Wells; and sister, Jean Prince. She is survived by sons, Barry Wells (Jean) of Gallatin, and Charles “Craig” Wells of Gallatin; brother, C. E. Steele (Helen) of Chattanooga; and step-grandson, Matthew Eli Miller. Mrs. Wells retired from TVA in 1984, and then worked with Carl Wells and Associates until 2006. In her early years, she taught Sunday School at First Baptist Church.
