Obituary of Lionel Gaither Green

Lionel Gaither Green, age 53 of Gallatin, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016. Funeral Service will be at Hartsville Pike Church of Christ on Monday, June 6th at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Doyle Farris and Bro. Stephen Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Soper-Green Family Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be at Hartsville Pike Church of Christ on Sunday, June 5th from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Monday, June 6th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Lionel was born September 24, 1963 in Gallatin. He is preceded in death by father Sam Green and brother, Cullen Green. He is survived by wife of 27 years, Karen Green of Gallatin; daughter, Baylee Green of Gallatin; son, Cole Green of Gallatin; mother, Patricia Gaither Green of Gallatin; and brother, Jeff Green (Lisa) of Gallatin. Lionel loved his wife, family, his church and the kids he taught about God’s Word, fishing, boating, cars, and snorkeling. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baylee and Cole’s Education Fund c/o Karen Green at Reliant Bank, 425 East Main Street Gallatin.
