Obituary of Lula F. Hunter Martin
Lula F. Hunter Martin, age 93 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday July 10, 2016. Funeral Service will be Wednesday July 13th at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Tuesday July 12th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., and Wednesday July 13th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Mrs. Martin was born May 29, 1923 in Smith County to the late Strader Kingsley Baker and Maggie Mae Payne Baker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Grover David Hunter, Sr.; her second husband, Artice A. Martin; brother, Strader W. Baker; and sister, Margaret Bruce Hamilton. She is survived by sons, Grover D. “Buddy” Hunter, Jr. (Judy) of Gallatin, and Jim Hunter (Rosemary) of Gallatin; daughter, Matilda Mae Pallo (Joe) of Bluffton, S.C.; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
