Obituary of Bobby H. Brooks

Bobby Brooks, age 82 of Castalian Springs, passed away Sunday October 9, 2016. Funeral Service will be Tuesday October 11th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Bethpage Lower Cemetery, with Billy Brooks, Bo Perry, Allen Ray, Timothy Coble, Kevin Coble, and Jamie Griffy serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday October 10th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday October 11th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Brooks was born March 31, 1934 in Bethpage to the late Carsie Brooks and Nora Gladys Adcock Brooks. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son, Bobby "Rob" Brooks, Jr.; daughter, Patty Jo Brooks; son-in-law, Jeff Mitchell; brother-in-law, Robert Grebb; and brothers, Carsie Brooks, Jr., Thomas Billy Brooks, and Roy Brooks. He is survived by wife of 62 years, Joline Johnson Brooks of Castalian Springs; son, Chester Davis Brooks (Becky) of Indiana; daughters, Karla Mitchell of Florida, Brenda Kay Allen (Donald) of Portland, and Alice "Darlene" Coble of Cookeville; brothers, Gabbie Brooks (Jennie) of Indiana and Theodore Glenn Brooks (Shirley) of Bethpage; sisters, Peggy Grebb of Indiana and Eva Lou Chadwick (Kenny) of Indiana; sister-in-law, Cecile Brooks of Indiana; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
