Obituary of Carmoline Krantz Gulley

MS. CARMOLINE GULLEY, age 83, of Lafayette passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at The Palace Care & Rehab. Funeral services for Ms. Carmoline Gulley were conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Cliff Jones and Elder G.W. Knight officiating. Jerry Owens served as Honorary Pallbearer. Johnny Harper, Nelson Meador, Terry Wright, Donnie Sexton, Andy Knight, and Tyler Knight served as Active Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Haysville Cemetery. Carmoline was born on February 19, 1928 to the late Lannie B. and Thula Belle Krantz Gulley in Macon County, Tennessee. Besides her parents; two brothers also preceded her in death. Dillard E. Gulley was killed on September 16, 1943 and Willard C. Gulley on July 16, 1944, during World War II. They were both killed ten months apart while serving our county. She was a seamstress working for the Silk Mill in Lafayette for several years and then the Hartsville Blouse Factory. Carmoline retired from public work after thirty-two years of labor. She enjoyed sewing, so she continued at home. Cooking and visiting her friends were some things she also loved doing. Carmoline took a little Chiwawa dog named Perky into her life and Perky became family to her. Perky was her pride and joy. She was a very loveable person; Carmoline was always concerned for others. Carmoline was saved in her youth and was of the Baptist Belief. She has many cousins and friends that will missed her greatly. She is survived by; a host of Cousins, and special friends, Sandra (Elder G.W.) Knight, Pam (Nelson) Meador, Darlene (John) Harper, Donnie Sexton, Ronnie Sexton, Andy Knight and Kim, Natasha Knight, Andrea Knight and Tyler Knight, also survive.
