Obituary of Dorothy Cartwright Turnbow

Dorothy Cartwright Turnbow, age 77 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday January 1, 2017. Funeral Service will be Wednesday January 4th at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Travis Fleming officiating. Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Tuesday January 3rd from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and Wednesday January 4th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Mrs. Turnbow was born August 27, 1939 in Williamston, NC to the late William Cartwright and Ethel Gurganus Revels. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sons, Bradley Turnbow and Timothy Turnbow; and grandson, Justin Turnbow. She is survived by husband of 50 years, James Glenn Turnbow; sons, Kirk Turnbow (Rhonda) of Virginia, and Keith Turnbow (Karen) of Georgia; sisters, Audrey Harrington (Ken) of North Carolina, and Vickie Matthews (Bobby) of North Carolina; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
