Obituary of Garnett "Buck" White

Garnett “Buck” White, age 85 of Portland, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 8th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 8th from 12:00 noon until time of service. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. White retired after serving over 20 years in the United States Air Force. He will receive full military honors. Mr. White was born July 28, 1931 in Portland, to the late, John Garnett White and Ola Hardin White. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wives, Dorothy Sue White and Ruby White; son, Lee White; daughter, Garnett Kay Ruby; and brothers, Jackie White, Richard Martin White, and John David White. He is survived by son, Donald A. White of Portland; daughters, Enola Cron (Eddie) of Portland and Wanda Lynn White of Brentwood; brothers, Steve White (Barbara) of Portland and Wayne White of Portland; sisters, Josephine Culbreath of New Deal, and Carolyn Jones of Portland; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
