Obituary of Mark Gee

Mark Gee

Born on June 1, 1980 in Nashville, TN, Mark passed away on September 9, 2017. 

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Catherine Alcock and grandfather Bing T. Gee.

Survived by his parents, Frank and Dorothy Gee; his sister Catherine Gee and his grandmother Nora Gee.  Mark is survived by loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mark’s service will be Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Alexander Heritage Funeral Home, 100 Albert Gallatin Avenue, Gallatin, TN with visitation from 1:00 – 4:00 followed by the service at 4:00.  Rev. Dr. Ted Hill and Reverand Wayne Bess will officiate. 

Mark graduated from Gallatin High School in 1998 and from The University of the South at Sewanee in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  For a number of years after graduation, Mark lived in Durango, Colorado and continued his love for the outdoors including hiking, fishing, kayaking and working for an outfitters company taking action photographs of tourists canoeing and kayaking on the Animas River.  During the winter, Mark worked at Purgatory Ski Resort as an action photographer.  During his time in Colorado, Mark developed his skills for snowboarding which became a lasting passion.  In 2008, Mark purchased a house and moved back to his home in Tennessee where he managed his music management company, Synergee Entertainment.  From 2010-2012 he attended Watkins College of Art and Design and earned his TN Real Estate License.  From 2014-2015 Mark worked as a counselor at Integrative Life Center in Nashville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society or the animal rescue shelter of your choice.
