Obituary of Louise Phillips

Louise Phillips, age 96 of Gallatin, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017.  Funeral Service will be Monday, September 25th at 4:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue), with Rev. John Penfield officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday, September 24th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Monday, September 25th from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m.  Graveside Service and Interment will be Tuesday, September 26th at 1:00 p.m. at Owensboro Memorial Gardens, 5050 Kentucky Highway, Owensboro, KY 42301 – 42304.

Mrs. Phillips was born December 20, 1920 in Maceo, KY, to the late Wallace Powers and Ardealia Young Powers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Noble H. Phillips, who died in 2004; 5 sisters, Lillian Bellew, Avery Mitchell, Janie Basham, Jessie Basham, and Marie Jones; and grandson-in-law, Pat Tucker.  She is survived by son, James “Dan” Phillips (Martha) of Hendersonville; 3 grandchildren, Leslye  P. Tucker of Gallatin, James D. Phillips of Miami, FL, and Nickie D. Phillips of Brooklyn, NY; 3 great granddaughters, Lauren A. Tucker of Gallatin, Cayce D. Tilley (Shane) of Gallatin, and Bailey P. Tucker of Gallatin; and 1 great-great granddaughter, Kenley G. Tilley of Gallatin.  Mrs. Phillips is a former long-time resident of Whitesville, KY (38 years).  She retired from G.E. in Owensboro after 30 years of service.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, Gallatin.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
