Obituary of Ruby Louise Lykins

Ruby Louise Lykins, age 90 of Gallatin, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017.  Funeral Service will be Monday, December 11th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue), with Rev. Pat Freudenthal officiating.  Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be Monday, December 11th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.

Mrs. Lykins was born May 8, 1927 in Marting, West Virginia to the late Fred Wilson Copeland and Iva Mae Clonch Copeland.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, Herbert Copeland; and sisters, Violet Copeland and Jane Copeland.  She is survived by husband of 69 years, Ralph J. Lykins; daughter, Iva Smedley (Jack) of Gallatin; 3 grandchildren, Scott Smedley (Anne) of Richmond, Virginia, Karen Jarrett (Jeff) of Hendersonville, TN, and Christopher Smedley (Nicole) of Raleigh, North Carolina; and 8 great grandchildren.  Mrs. Lykins was a charter member of Mt.
