Obituary of Stella York Thompson

Stella York Thompson, age 75 of Bethpage, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 16^th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue), with Bro. Tim Williams officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday, December 14^th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 15^th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 16^th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Charles Thompson, Billy Fuqua, Chris Walker, Jimmy Thompson, Harold Fuqua, and Ricky Cook serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Thompson was born November 1, 1942 in Willette, TN to the late Gentry York and Grace Wallace York.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by grandson, Billy Wayne Lee; brothers, C. B. York and Leslie York; and sisters, Wilma Keith, and Kathleen Brewer.  She is survived by husband of 28 years, David Thompson of Bethpage; daughters, Darlene Thompson (Donnie) of Bethpage and Gracie Taylor of Castalian Springs; step-son, David Thompson of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Billy Fuqua, Cindy Shannon, and Tiffany Fuqua; step-grandchildren, Charles Thompson and Tiffany Thompson Morris; great grandchildren, Erin Fuqua, Ashlyn Fuqua, Cooper Fuqua, Taylor Shannon, Jacob Shannon, and Madison Wallace;  step-great grandchildren, Sierra Briley, Samantha Miles, Ray Thompson, Jacob Thompson, Alexis Thompson, and Savannah Rogers; and 2 great-great grandchildren, Avery Thompson and Daisey Mae Miles.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
