Obituary of Gwendolyn Reynolds

Gwendolyn Reynolds, age 90 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018.  Funeral Service will be Friday, January 19^th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. Eugene Martino officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 18^th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Friday, January 19^th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Brian Reynolds, Chris Grizzle, Eddie Kendrick, Ricky Troutt, Mike Tulloss, and Dickie Cline serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Reynolds was born October 2, 1927 in Sumner County to the late Claude V. Fykes and Hilma Marsh Fykes.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Edward Hooper Reynold; daughter, Myra Beth Thurman; sister, Juanita Tulloss.  She is survived by son, Sam Reynolds (Delores) of Gallatin; sisters, Helen Beasley of the Fairfield Community, Shirley Grizzle (Leroy) of Gallatin, and Jerrie Witherspoon (Mac) of Gallatin; and 2 grandchildren, Brian G. Reynolds (Lisa), and Paige Boze (Patrick).  Mrs. Reynolds was a member of Lambuth United Methodist Church since the early 1960’s.  She was the first meter maid for the city of Gallatin, starting in 1959.  She retired from the Federal Crop Insurance after 25 years of service.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
