Obituary of Mary Jo Newman
<p>Mrs. Mary Jo Newman, age 69 of Hartsville, TN passed away Tuesday evening, November 27, 2018 at her Daughter’s home. Sadly we said goodbye to our sweet and precious Mama and Nanny. Surrounded by those she loved and loved her, the angels carried her soul to her Savior, Jesus Christ.</p>
<p>Preceded in death by, Husband, Bruce Newman.</p>
<p>Survived by: 2 Daughters, Mary Lynn (Danny) Claridy-Hartsville, TN and Debbie (Steve) Woodall-Gallatin, TN; Son, Robin Newman-Hartsville, TN; 4 Grandchildren, Michael (Cody-Dale) Claridy, Heather Claridy, Cody (Crystal) Woodall and Austin Woodall and 2 Great Grandchildren, Bentley Woodall and Charlie Claridy.</p>
<p>She gracefully left this world on her terms peacefully. Her faith never waivered as she fought hard up to the last breath. Our mother was God’s gift of love to us and her spirit and light will always be present in our lives, and for this we are eternally grateful. We would like to thank Dr. Nick and her staff at Tennessee Oncology, Dr. Kellogg and their staff, Avalon Hospice and St. Thomas Midtown, where everyone who provided medical care for her grew to love her.</p>
<p>Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Anthony Funeral Home at 11 AM Friday, November 30, 2018 conducted by Eld. Jeff Blackwell. Interment will be in the Dixon Springs Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM to 8 PM Thursday and 9 AM to Service time Friday.</p>
<p>Prayer is the key to heaven but faith unlocks the door.</p>
