Obituary of Mr. William Glen Walker

Mr. William Glen Walker, age 67 of Cross Plains, TN passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at his home in Cross Pains, TN after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Walker was born in Portland, TN the son of the late Wesley Nathan and Frances Magdalene Stephens Walker. Glen is survived by his wife, Sandra Walker of Cross Plains, TN. A son, Wesley Walker of Ashland City, TN. A step-daughter, Angela Key of Hartsville, TN. A brother, Wayne Walker (Martha) of Portland, TN. Two sisters, Carolyn Evans (Bobbie) of Cross Plains, TN and Judy Moore (Jimmy) of Portland, TN. Along with his parents, Glen was preceded in death by his half sister, Anna Margaret Walker. Glen was saved by the Grace of God in 1963 and baptized into Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in November of 1963. He served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971 and was retired from United Structures of America. Glen was well known for his carpenter skills and never retired from working with wood...a job he loved. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday May 17 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Jake Link Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday and from 12:00 PM until service time Thursday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
