Obituary of Ms. Tanja Ward-Bogan

Ms. Tanja Ward-Bogan, age 52 of Portland, TN passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at her home in Portland, TN surrounded by her family and friends when she took her last breath. Ms. Ward-Bogan was born July 20, 1965 in Louisville, KY the daughter of the late Sarah Waide Anderson Ward. Tanja is survived by her father, Edward Ward (Minnie Roberts), her sister Heldi Gravens (Troy), a brother Boomer Ward (Crickett) and a daughter, Whitney Cato (Michael). Three grand children; Duncan Worthe, Ella Cato and Maggie Cato. Nieces and nephews; Graeson Jahnke (Christian), Gunner Gravens and Chase Gravens. Her second mother, Patsy Hutton and a host of close friends who were like her sisters. Tanja was a nurse, it was her calling in life. She took care of her patients like her own family. She loved life, the ocean, seashells, wine, to be at home sitting on her front porch, playing a little on the slot machines...but most of all, she loved her family and adored her grand babies. A celebration of life service will be held at the Portland Nazarene Church, Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 2:00 PM where all family and friends are invited to attend.
