Obituary of Mrs. Bonnie Evelyn Denton

Mrs. Bonnie Evelyn Denton, age 90 of Portland, TN. entered into rest Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Mrs. Denton was born March 6, 1927 in Red Boiling Springs, TN the daughter of the late Charlie and Leone Reecer. Mrs. Denton is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Denton King (Robert) of Franklin, TN. Two sons, Robert E. Denton Jr. (Shelby) of Portland, TN and Gerald Denton (Maxine) of Franklin, KY. A sister, Alma Bastin of Indianapolis, IN. Nine grandchildren; Cheyenne Combs, Angella Stewart-Gass (Wes), Jeff Austin (Traci), Annette Fuqua (Dustin), Robin Patton (Jason), Catrina Brown (Tim), Jason Denton (Rachel), Lynn Seibert and Earl Seibert. Several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Bonnie was a member of Corinth Church of Christ and was preceded in death by her hubsand, Robert E. Denton Sr. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 6, 2017 at Gilbert Funeral Home with James Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Moriah Church Cemetery in Portland, TN. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 9:00 AM until service time Saturday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
