Obituary of Mrs. Barbara Joyce White

Mrs. Barbara Joyce White, age 80 of Cross Plains, TN. entered into rest on Friday, December 8, 2017 at her home in Cross Plains, TN. Mrs. White was born July 15, 1937 in Portland, TN. the daughter of the late Vernon and Nellie Lou Poole. Mrs. White is survived by two daughters, Tanya Jones (David) of Brentwood, TN. and Tammy Smith (Martin) ofSpanish Fort, AL. A sister, June Trotter (James) of Goodlettsville, TN. Five grandchildren; Chasity Taylor (Shawn), Jada Tate (Clint), Heath Thomerson, Kim Hicklen, and Josh Jones (Katie). 12 great grandchildren; Ellie Jones, Audrey Hicklen, Mary Whitley Hicklen, Susannah Hicklen, Kodie Searcy, Abi Thomerson, Sydney Taylor, Lilli Tate, Lily Mae Dunbar, Foster Jones, Madelyn Thomerson and Willa Thomerson. Mrs.White was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby R. White, a sister, Loretta Jane Poole and a brother, Marcus Vernon Poole. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, December 310, 2017 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Portland, TN. Visitation will be held Sunday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Josh Jones, Heath Thomerson, Kodie Searcy, Shawn Taylor, Clint Tate, and Patrick Hicklen.
