Obituary of Mr. Johnny Marshall McClain

Mr. Johnny Marshall McClain, age 74 of Adolphus, KY., passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Mr. McClain was born April 6, 1943 in Smith Co., TN the son of the late Marshall and Clara McClain. Mr. McClain is survived by his wife, Rose Mary McClain of Adolphus, KY. A step son, Robert Whittemore of Portland, TN. A step-daughter, Mary Choate of Lafayette, TN. A sister, Pat Wix of Portland, TN. Five grandchildren; Timmy Choate, Travis Whittemore, Emily Whittemore, Rachael Wainscott, Stacie Parker and 14 great grandchildren. Along with his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by four brothers, Bobby, Bryan, Wayne and Ralph McClain. Two sisters, Maxine and Emgene, a grandson, Nathan Choate and a step-son, Edward Whittemore. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Union Chapel Church Cemetery. Visitation will from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Friday and from 9:00 AM until service time Saturday at Gilbert Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be John McClain, David McClain, Larry Pearson, Jackie Parker, Robert Whittemore and Travis Whittemore.
