Obituary of Mrs. Theresa Ann Owens Springer

Mrs. Theresa Ann Owens Springer, age 57 of Portland, TN., passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Skyline Madison Campus in Madison, TN. Mrs. Springer was born January 13, 1960 in Portland, TN the daughter of the late Larry Stanley Owens. Mrs. Springer is survived by her husband, Glenn "Grizz" Springer of Portland, TN. Her mother, Arlene Owens of Portland, TN. A step-daughter, Rae Fleming (Greg) of Gloucester, VA. Two sisters, Linda Riggs (Glenn) and Sheila Cantrell both of Portland, TN. Special nieces and nephew, Bridget Bagshaw (CB), Jeremy Riggs (Erin) and Bryanna Cantrell all of Portland, TN. Two grandchildren, Delaney and Calem Fleming. Five great nieces and nephew; Sara Bagshaw, Alyssa Bagshaw, Lil CB Bagshaw, Reese Riggs and Reagan Riggs. Mrs. Springer was a member of Highland Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was a very passionate advocate for animal rescues and their adoptions, therefore the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Furry Paws 2915 Oak Grove Church Rd. Bethpage, TN 37022 for the Theresa Owens Springer Fund to assist in animal rescues and adoptions. Cremation has been chosen by the family. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Old Brush Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
