Obituary of Mrs. Mildred Jo Hardin

Mrs. Mildred Jo Hardin, age 85 of Portland, TN, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017. Jo Hardin was born April 30, 1932 in Rogersville, TN., the daughter of the late Bill Lamb and Harriet Stuffle Lamb. She was a longtime resident of Portland, TN and a member of the First Baptist Church of Portland. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who had a caring and generous heart. Jo Hardin is survived by her daughter, Gloria Watson of Knoxville, TN.; her son, Glenn D. Hardin of Huntsville, AL.; her grandson, Joseph H. Watson III "Tre" of Knoxville, TN.; her great granddaughters, Makenze' Watson and Maka'lyn Watson, both of Lenoir City, TN.; her sisters, Eula Henry (Ron), Francis Pendergrass (Paul), and Chesteen Russell (Ralph); her brothers, John Lamb (Jean) and Tom Lamb (Sheila); her nephew, Kenny Cline (Maurelle); her niece, Janice Graves; and numerous other nephews and nieces of the Lamb, Harris, Henry, Moore, Fletcher, Russell and Price families. Jo Hardin was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hardin of Portland, TN.; her sisters, Bobbie Harris, Charlcie Fletcher and Mary Price; and her brothers, Dana Lamb and James Lamb. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, July 6th, 2017 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. with Bro. Tim Colovos officiating. Interment will follow at Hardin Cemetery in Portland, TN. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday and from 10:00 AM until service time Thursday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
