Mrs. Darlene Dorris, age 61 of Portland, TN, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at her home in Portland, TN. Mrs. Dorris was born March 28, 1956 in Robertson Co., TN. the daughter of the late Paul Alvin and Bonnie Harris White. Mrs. Dorris is survived by her husband, Jerry L. Dorris of Portland, TN. A step daughter, LaDonna Barber (Mike) of Westmoreland, TN. A brother, John Alvin White (Demetria) of Springfield, TN. Four sisters, Barbara Plunkett (Edward), Diane Fuqua (Earl), Brenda Kaye White Gainous (Steve), and Paulla Atchley (Charles) all of Springfield, TN. Darlene was a member of Williams Chapel Baptist Church in Springfield, TN for many years. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, June 9, 2017 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. Burial will follow at Old Brush Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday and from 9:00 AM until service time Friday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
