Obituary of Mr. Jon Tomas Ferrell

Mr. Jon Tomas Ferrell, age 17, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Portland, TN. Mr. Ferrell was born January 27, 2000 in Nashville, TN. Mr. Ferrell is survived by his parents, Connie and Ty Martinez of Portland, TN. A brother, Eddie Ferrell of Portland, TN. Two sisters, Amanda Pauley of Lexington, NC. and Relena Martinez of Winston-Salem, NC. Two aunts, Super Sam of Portland, TN and April Peterson of Winston-Salem, NC. An uncle, Chad Durham of Portland, TN. Two grandmothers, Melba Walden of Dothan, AL. and Sandra Craven of Pulaski, TN. Jon was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Big John and Canillia Turner, maternal grandfather, Wayne Turner and two cousins, Hailey Carolina Peterson and Carla Marie Dillard. Jon formerly attended Portland High School where he was a member of FFA. Funeral services will be held 4:30 PM Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. with Bro. Bobby Sloan officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Portland, TN. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time Wednesday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
