Mr. Layne Nelson age 25 of Westmoreland, TN. formerly of Portland, TN., passed away Friday, March 3, 2017. Mr. Nelson was born May 28, 1991 in Nashville, TN. Layne is survived by his father, Monte Nelson (Tanya) of Portland, TN. His mother, Lisa Hudson of Westmoreland, TN. A son, Draven Nelson of Portland, TN. Paternal grandparents, Brenda and Jerry Nelson of Portland, TN. Maternal grandparents, Ed and Evelyn McGuffie of Portland, TN. Two step sisters, Kayla Beck (Joey) of Portland, TN. and Sierra Cassady of Bowling Green, KY. His girlfriend, Rosanna Polson of Westmoreland, TN. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. Burial will follow at the Old Brush Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday and from 9:00 AM until service time Tuesday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
