Obituary of Mr. Eric Lynn Hackney

Mr. Eric Lynn Hackney age 32 of Portland, TN., passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at his home in Portland, TN. Mr. Hackney was born April 9, 1984 in Sumner County, TN. the son of the late Joy Lynn Hackney. Eric is survived by three daughters, Brooklyn Hackney of Gallatin, TN., Alyia and Lexi Hackney both of Portland, TN. A brother, Chad Hackney of Portland, TN. Grandmother, Betty Lancaster of Portland, TN. An uncle, Bobby Lancaster of Portland, TN and an aunt, Doris Mahoney of Portland, TN. Eric attended Halltown General Baptist Church in Portland, TN. Funeral services will be held Tuesday evening, January 31, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home. The family has chosen cremation to follow the visitation and requests that in lieu of flowers please make donations to Gilbert Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
