Obituary of Mr. James Raymond "Jimmy" Brown

Mr. James Raymond "Jimmy" Brown age 89 of Portland, TN., entered into rest Thursday, January 26, 2017 at his home in Portland, TN. Mr. Brown was born November 4, 1927 in Bartow County, GA. the son of the late Joseph W. and Pearl Walden Brown. Mr. Brown is survived by three sons, Larry Brown (Carolyn) of Clarksville, TN., Jimmy Brown (Brenda) of White House, TN., and Teddy Brown of Westmoreland, TN. A daughter, Vonna Brown of Portland, TN. 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Along with his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Brown and a sister, Kathrine Smith. Jimmy lived in Portland, TN for 40 years and was a professional musician with a God given talent in his field. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. The family has chosen cremation to follow the visitation and requests that in lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choosing.
