Obituary of Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Atkinson

Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Atkinson, age 81 of Winter Haven, FL. formerly of Portland, TN., passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at Lakeland Regional Hospital in Lakeland, FL. Mrs. Atkinson was born June 21, 1935 in Columbia, SC. the daughter of the late Rodney Nimmons and Myrtle Spires. Mrs. Atkinson is survived by two sons, Ricky Johnson (Ann) of Gallatin, TN and Allen Johnson of Lexington, SC. Five daughters, Jodie Gray of Lake City, SC., Fonda Roberts and Chanity Atkinson (Edward) both of Winter Haven, FL., Hollye Blair (Robert) and Thomothy Graves (Steven) both of Portland, TN. A brother, Sonny Nimmons. 28 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Alton Hudson and a son, Paul James Johnson Jr. She was a member of the Portland Church of God of Prophecy in Portland, TN. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. Burial will follow in Portland Memorial Garden. The family will receive visitors from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday and from 9:00 AM until service time Tuesday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
