Obituary of Mr. Dennis Ray Russell

Mr. Dennis Russell, age 66 of Westmoreland, formerly of Portland, TN., passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Mr. Russell is survived by his three sons, Neno Russell of Richmond, VA., Deon Russell of Cottontown, TN., and John Bradley Russell of Lafayette, TN. A step-daughter, Dawn Gregory of Pleasant Shade, TN. Two brothers, Johnny Russell (Jaska) of Portland, TN. and Courtney Russell of Nashville, TN. A sister, Jackie Russell Denning (Tim) of Hendersonville, TN. A granddaughter, Khilei "Shotgun" Bowden. An aunt, Sue Denning (Eugene) of Orlinda, TN. and two uncles, Harold Searcy (Barbara) of Portland, TN. and Bill Russell of Franklin, KY. Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Cherry Reynolds Russell. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Searcy Cemetery in Portland, TN. with Bro Terrell Somerville and Bro. Jody Brown officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday and from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM Saturday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
