Mr. Joe Wiley Word, age 63 of Cross Plains, TN., passed away January 4, 2016 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Mr. Word was born June 24, 1952 in Nashville, TN., the son of the late James S. Ward Sr. and Lucille Ward. Mr. Word is survived by a son, Joe Wilson of Ft. Myers, FL. 2 daughters, Bridgette Davis and Linda Chandler both of Franklin, KY. A brother, James Word of Cross Plains, TN. A niece, Tina Word of Cottontown, TN. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 10, 2015 at Portland Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Jake Link Cemetery in Portland, TN.
