Obituary of Mrs. Sarah Helen Wagner

Mrs. Sarah Helen Wagner, age 78 of Portland, TN., passed away January 2, 2016 at her home in Portland, TN. Mrs. Wagner was born July 4, 1937 in Muhlenberg Co., KY., the daughter of the late Elmer and Grace Wright. A wonderful mother, grandmother, and a loving wife, Mrs. Wagner is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Howard Wagner of Portland, TN. 2 sons, Jack Wagner of Lebanon, TN., and Russell Wagner of Nashville, TN. 2 brothers, Elmer (Marge) Wright of Coshocton, OH. and Veachel (Jo) Wright of Morgantown, KY. A sister, Brenda Kay (Jerry) Nelson of Portland, TN. 2 grandchildren, Abby Jones and Brittney Marcinko. Along with her parents, Mrs. Wagner was preceded in death by a sister, Hortense Wright. 3 brothers, Clyde, Donnie and Joel Thomas Wright. Helen was a dedicated and faithful member of Hollis Chapel General Baptist Church in Portland, TN. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, January 3, 2015 at Portland Funeral Chapel with Bro. Robert Gilman officiating and Bro. Chris Towe assisting. Burial will follow at Old Brush Cemetery in Portland, TN. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Monday at Portland Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers will be Wayne Wright, Jerry Wade Nelson, Monte Nelson, Jerry S. Nelson, Darron Wright and Josh Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Wright and Layne Nelson.
