Obituary of Mr. Paul D. Edens

Paul D. Edens, age 87, of Cottontown, passed away on June 18, 2015, at Tristar Skyline Medical Center. He was born in Sumner County on November 28, 1927, to Herley and Pelma Lee Gregory Edens. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Portland and an engineer for TDOT for over 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Eva "Nell" Simmons Edens; daughter Brenda (Harry) Borders of White House; sons Michael (Cindy) Edens of Scottsville, Kentucky, Mark (Amy) Edens of Sewanee, Tennessee, and Matthew (Kristi) Edens of Frederick, Maryland; grandchildren Chris (Jenni) Loftis, Wilson Edens, Nick Edens, Forrest Edens, Kate Edens, Jack Edens, and Nate Edens; and great-grandson Zachary Loftis. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, June 22, 2015 at Portland Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon to 8:00 PM Sunday and from 11:00 AM until service time Monday at Portland Funeral Chapel.
