Obituary of Jon L. Dorminy

Jon L. Dorminy, age 76 of Castalian Springs, passed away Friday, June 12, 2015. Celebration of Life Service will be Tuesday, June 16th at 5:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor David Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Mr. Dorminy was born February 20, 1939 in Enigma GA, son of the late Luther and Kate McMillian Dorminy. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by Jim Dorminy. He is survived by wife of 36 years, Linda Sue Proctor Dorminy of Castalian Springs; sons, Gregory J. Dorminy (Bobbi Jo) of Mount Airy, NC; Jon Michael Dorminy (Sharon Denise) of Martinsburg, WV; Kenneth Michael Burgett (Jennifer) of Argo, AL and Robert E. Burgett of Killeen, TX; daughter, Cynthia Lyn Dorminy Beasley of King, NC; brother, Jack F. Dorminy of Crystal River, FL; fifteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Mr. Dorminy was the general manager for 35 years at Gorman Rupp Co. in Mansfield, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
