Obituary of Jewell M. Jones

Jewell M. Nash Jones was born on March 2, 1934 in Macon County, Tennessee to the late Acie Nash and Ersye Grant Nash. She was married on June 25, 1949 to the love of her life Lonzo Franklin Jones. They were married fifty-two years and raised one son, Randy. Jewell worked as a supervisor for Imperial Reading for several years; later on she worked for American Greetings as Manager of the Envelope Department until retiring in 2002. Cooking and baking was what she loved to do, especially for family and friends. Jewell loved her family and was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The grandchildren and great-grandchildren were Jewell's pride and joy; she loved every minute spent with them. Her husband, Lonzo passed away on April 7, 2001. Besides her husband and parents; several brothers and sisters also preceded her in death. Jewell enjoyed spending the day out with her family and friends, shopping. She was saved and a member of Haysville Missionary Baptist Church. On Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at the age of 80, Jewell was carried to her new home by the Angels. Jewell is now reunited with her husband and basking in the wonders of Heaven. Funeral services for Ms. Jewell M. Jones were conducted Friday, March 7 at 2 pm from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder G.W. Knight officiating. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. She is survived by; Son, Randy (Donnetta) Jones of Helena, AL, Grandchildren, Misty (Chuckie) Harrell of Murfreesboro, TN, Brian (Megan) Jones of Searcy, AR, Great-grandchildren, Dylan, Paige, Tatum, and Brayden, Sister, Vallie Dillehay of Red Boiling Springs, TN.
