Obituary of F.D. Fuqua

Fountain D. Fuqua, known to everyone as F.D. was born March 25, 1948 in Macon County, Tennessee to the late Fountain Frank Fuqua and Edna Elizabeth Hoskins Fuqua. He was one of eight siblings. Besides his parents; brothers, Freddie Wayne Fuqua and Moto Fuqua, and sister, Sue Adcock also preceded F.D. is death. On November 29, 1967, F. D. married the love of his life, Nancy Lou Trammell Fuqua. They have shared forty-seven years together and have four children. F. D. built barns for the public and had served many farmers in the area. He stayed very busy; being the talented carpenter and builder that he was. When F.D. had time, he enjoyed taking the day off to spend time with grandkids and ride horses. F. D. was a member of Miller's Chapel General Baptist Church. Most of all in life, he cared deeply for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. On Friday, February 13, 2015, at the age of sixty-six the Lord called F.D. to his eternal home in Heaven. He will be greatly missed by Nancy, the family, and the many friends that loved him. But our loss is Heaven's Gain. F. D. is survived by; Wife, Nancy Fuqua, Sons and Daughters-in-law, Fountain D. (Tiffany) Fuqua Jr., Robert Wayne (Christie) Fuqua, Daughter, Sandra Louise Fuqua, Grandchildren, Star and Sky Fuqua, Trever, Tori, Hannah, Cassandra, Matthew, and Alexua Fuqua, and Lukas and Destiny Haskins, Great-Grandchildren, Elis Fuqua, Levi Fuqua, Alysandra Haskins, Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Rosie (Jr.) Day, Helen Hesson, Jo Fuqua, and Margaret (Donald) Wix. Funeral services for F.D. Fuqua were conducted Tuesday, at 1 pm from the Chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Carlene Kirby and Reverend Billy Freeman, Jr. officiating.
