Obituary of Doris Lee Turner

Mrs. Doris Lee Turner was born April 24, 1933 in Concord, TN to the late John William Pruitt and Myrtle Nevada Pellom Pruitt. She was one of three daughters born to this union. Besides her parents; two sister, Mildred Awalt and Willie Mae Longwith also preceded her in death. She was previously married and has a daughter, Angela Wheeler and husband Mike of Dixon Springs, Tennessee, and a son, Elton Turner and wife Linda of Jacksonville, Florida. She also has two grandchildren, James Pitman and wife Keri of Ocala, Florida and Patrick Pitman of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, two great-grandchildren, Kaylee Pitman, and Josh Pitman, and a special niece, Deloris McAmis and husband Bill of Lenoir City, Tennessee that also survive. Doris had work in different fields, such as Car Hop waitress, secretary to a director at a hospital in Knoxville, and the latest was sales and customer service for Bellsouth, until retiring. Doris attended the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lafayette. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. On February 15, 2015 at the age of 81, she went to rest from her labors here on Earth. Doris will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
