Obituary of Betty Jean Meador

Mrs. Betty Jean Meador was born June 10, 1932 in Lafayette, TN to the late Paul Marshall Scruggs and Ezma Leath Scruggs. She was one of six siblings born to this union. On December 23, 1947, Betty was married to Hubert Lee Meador, sharing sixty-one years together and raising three daughters and one son. She worked for Wilco Corporation as a machine operator for several years. Later, she went to work for Flex Technologies serving twenty years before retiring in 1984. Betty enjoyed going on vacation and traveling with Hubert and the children. Time spent with her family meant more to Betty than anything else in life. Betty may have been a small stature lady, but she was so full of life and always wore a smile. She was so enjoyable to be around. October 24, 2008, her husband Hubert passed away. Besides her husband and parents; brothers, Carl Scruggs, Hilton Scruggs, James Scruggs, Billy Ray Scruggs, and Lloyd Dean Scruggs also preceded her in death. Betty loved attending Eulia General Baptist Church. On February 18, 2015, at the age of 82, the Lord called Betty to her new home. Heaven gained a beautiful Angel, when she got there. She will be greatly missed by her family, but Betty leaves many precious memories behind. She is survived by; Daughter, Pamela J. Whited of Indianapolis, Penny (Ken) Wagner of Avon, IN, Anissa (Joe) Edlin of Franklin, IN, Son, Lannie Meador of Plainfield, IN, eleven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren also survived.
