Obituary of Joe L. Barber

Mr. Joe Barber was born January 20, 1939 in Winter Haven, Florida to the late Charlie Morgan Barber and Allie Lorine Hammonds Barber. He was one of five siblings born to this union. Besides his parents; one brother, James Barber also preceded him in death. Joe was previously married and has four daughters, Debbie Cothron and husband Randy, Karen Barber Teresa Wilson and husband Nicky, and Clara East and husband Jeff. Also, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, one brother, Jerome Barber, and two sisters, Clara Iserhardt and Louise Schumate, and his companion, Cathy Fisher survives. Joe worked as a mechanic for many years at Allied in the Automotive Industry, until retiring in 2004. When he wasn't working, Joe enjoyed farming, gardening and canning. He liked being outside tinkering and doing yard work. Joe loved to watch and feed hummingbirds. In the summer you would always see a flock of hummingbirds in his yard. He was of the Baptist Belief and was saved when he was a young boy. Joe was a caring father that loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. On Monday, February 23, 2015, at the age of 76, Joe went to rest from his labors down here on Earth. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
