Obituary of Audrey Rosemary Holland

Audrey Rosemary Mahaney Holland was born on July 29, 1936, in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, to the late Burley Clester Mahaney and Zella Rose Ford Mahaney. Rosemary was married to Guy Smith Holland on February 7, 1953, and they spent almost fifty-five wonderful years together. They were blessed with three children. Guy preceded her in death on January 8, 2007. Along with her parents and husband, Rosemary was also preceded in death by her brother, Chester Clifton Mahaney. At a young age, Rosemary was saved by the Lord's grace. She was a member of Enon Missionary Baptist Church. Rosemary was a homemaker and always took great care of her family. She enjoyed sewing and loved to grow flowers. In years past, she wrote a column for the Macon County Times and really enjoyed sharing the news and events from around the Enon Community with readers. Rosemary also loved spending time with her family and always had a smile on her face when they were around. On Sunday morning, January 3, 2016, at the age of seventy-nine years, five months, and five days, Rosemary was called to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior. She will be greatly missed here on earth, but know that she is rejoicing in Heaven with her loved ones. Rosemary is survived by; Daughters, Diana Rose Holland Gregory, Pam Lawrence and Husband Joe all of Lafayette; Son, Johnie Holland and wife Amy of Lafayette; Grandchildren, Melanie and Shane Ellis of Lafayette, Mindy Nix of Georgia, Amber Choate of Portland, Jennifer Brooke Choate of Lafayette, Kelly Ray Lawrence of Lafayette, Mary Jo and Will Nichols of Pleasant Shade, Corey Daniel and Jessica Lawrence of Lafayette, Nick Allan Holland and Jessica Alexandria Holland both of Lafayette; Fifteen Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Rosemary Holland were conducted on Wednesday, January 06, 2016 at 11am from the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Kyle Reid and Brother Jerry Gammon officiating. Interment followed in the Scott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Nick Holland, Donald Cherry, Kenny Crague, Darrell Braswell, Cotton Knight, Mike Holland, Ethan Brown, and David Presley; Honorary Pallbearers were Jim Holland, Jeff Sutton, Jerry Crague, Perry Crague, and Timmy Crague.
