Obituary of Becky Butcher

Rebecca Rose Cliburn Butcher, better known as Becky, was born on May 25, 1954, in Shelbyville, TN, to the late Ray Dean Cliburn and Attis Marie Freeman Cliburn. She was one of three daughters born to this union. Becky was married to Paul Edward Butcher on January 22, 1971. They were blessed with three children, two sons and one daughter. They raised their family in the Rocky Mound community. Becky and Paul spent almost forty-six wonderful years together. Along with her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her nephew, Michael Rollin and niece, Kelly Michelle Brawner. She was saved as a twelve year old little girl and was a member of Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church. Becky was a hairdresser for twenty-six years. She was always a hardworking woman who never slowed down. Becky loved her family above all else and wanted to spend as much time with them as she could. She cherished all of her grandchildren. Becky was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. On Tuesday night, January 5, 2016, at the age of sixty-one years, seven months, and eleven days, Becky was called to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior. She will be missed terribly here on earth, but know that she is rejoicing in Heaven with her loved ones already gone on. Becky Butcher is survived by; Husband, Paul Butcher; Sons, Bryan "Bruiser" Butcher and wife, Tricia, and Chad Butcher; Daughter, Kim Butcher; Grandchildren, Byron Butcher, Anthony Whittemore, Jonathan Whittemore and wife, Dani, Blake Butcher, Brook Warner and husband Cody, and Kayci Harrison; Sisters, Kathy Meador and husband, Barry, and Melinda Dixon and husband, Randall; Six Great-Grandchildren and several other extended family also survives. Funeral services for Becky Butcher were held on Friday, January 08, 2016, at 1pm from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Ricky White and Elder Brent Tuttle officiating. Interment followed in the Rocky Mound Cemetery. Pallbearers were; Jerry Butcher, Randall Templeton, Danny Tuttle, Gary Haskins, Neal Whitlow, and Cody Warner.
