Obituary of Fred Thomas Brown

Fred Thomas Brown was born on December 26, 1949, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Thomas Meneese Brown and Sara Frances Evans Brown. Fred served his country in the United States Army. He had a master's degree in English and retired from Volvo of Nashville. He married Melinda Ann Cothron on June 14, 1986, and they were blessed with one daughter. Fred loved farming and driving his tractor. He enjoyed listening to good music and loved dancing. Fred was a good cook and was proud to be referred to as a professional coffee drinker. Along with his parents, Fred was preceded in death by one sister, Sara Alice Brown. On Friday evening, January 5, 2016, at the age of sixty-six years and 10 days, Fred was called to his eternal home. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Fred Brown is survived by; Wife, Melinda Cothron Brown, of Lafayette; Daughter, Lydia-Claire Brown, of Hendersonville; Sisters, Mary Ann Manning, of Jacksonville, Florida and Ellen Brown Wagner and husband, David, of Birmingham, Alabama; Brother, Robert Edward Brown, of Nashville and six nephews and seven nieces also survive. Funeral services for Fred Brown were conducted on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 10 AM from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Andrew Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Meador-Howser Cemetery. Pallbearers were; Eric Carver, Rick Fuqua, Anthony Gregory, Greg Sadler, Jamie Gregory, and Kevin Lathrope.
